$45,000 ART SALES FROM A 6-MIN PERFORMANCE!!

This is a must-read for any charity that feels they do not have the time or feel their “clientele is not as well suited” to buy Michael’s Art.

Michael is performing at their big annual event in May, and they called to ask if they could show a promotional video at their upcoming Luncheon to promote Michael’s performance in May.  At first, we offered to also send an artwork they could auction, which is how we found out that that luncheon event had never done an Auction, and also that “their clientele was probably not ideal for an auction”.  Their luncheon event was free to attendees, and they only place donation cards on tables for their ask.
Michael offered instead to fly out for the Luncheon to perform live and try an auction of the art afterward, letting them know that: 1. The performance could be as fast as 6 min, 2. The space needed could be as small as 3-5’, and 3. That it would not cost them a penny because if Michael did not raise enough to at least cover all expenses, he would cover them.
They decided to give it a try.  Michael painted 1 artwork themed for their cause (6 min performance).  We also brought an additional 4 artworks so that there was 5 total on display for the auction.  Long story short: All 5 artworks at the event SOLD, and we sold one additional 6th artwork that Michael will paint in the studio… we raised  $45,000 with a 6 minute, entirely last-minute, performance.  The attendees didn’t even know he would be there – it was a complete surprise until he walked on stage to paint.
Everyone at Dove House are now believers and super excited for the main Gala in May; the buzz has been constant since the luncheon show, and they are more confident than ever they will sellout the May event.
