The Pleasure of Being Prepared While Everyone Else Is Struggling.
After years of traveling around the world for live performances, I’ve discovered little tricks that make flying easier, more comfortable, and less stressful. Here’s one of my favorites.
TE-002 — Better Drinks Without Airport Prices

I like having individual electrolyte drink packets in my travel bag.
They weigh almost nothing, take up very little space, and can turn ordinary water into something more enjoyable.

My favorite bottle? A standard plastic water bottle. Nothing fancy.
Empty it before security. Then squeeze out the air, crumple it up, and put the cap back on. It stays small and flat in your bag.

After security, fill it up at a water fountain or bottle filler. It pops right back into shape.
Pour in your drink packet, put the cap on, and shake it up. It mixes perfectly. That works great for electrolytes or creatine, too.

It’s much easier than trying to stir powder into the tiny cups some airlines hand out!
Electrolytes can be useful when replacing lost fluids and salts, although most travelers don’t need them for every flight.
You’ll have a drink you enjoy without paying airport prices.

The Pleasure of Being Prepared
After all these years of traveling, I’ve learned that great travel experiences aren’t necessarily about how much money you spend.
They’re about making smart choices that let you relax and enjoy yourself.
Good food. Everything organized. No frantic searching. No unnecessary stress.
And maybe a few fellow passengers looking over and wishing they’d thought of it first!
That’s Travel Envy.
