What is Works4Charity?

Works4Charity™ is a program of Michael Israel Inc. — a professionally run, done-for-you fundraising entertainment program. Michael’s team handles the live performance, the original artwork, and the production, planning, and art-sales support, while your organization runs its event exactly as it normally would. Selected nonprofits participate with a $0 performance fee.

What does it cost our organization?

There is no performance fee. The program also covers the related travel and production costs, and its Safety Net means no out-of-pocket cost to your charity. Your team keeps doing what it already does — guests, sponsors, and your other fundraising — while we bring the centerpiece moment and the art that funds it. No other headline attraction can make that promise.

How much can the artwork raise?

Five original works are always created and auctioned live, with the option for more. The artwork typically brings in tens of thousands of dollars, and sometimes more than $100,000 at a single event. We expect the artwork to generate six figures at a well-run gala.

Won’t this compete with our existing fundraising?

No — it’s additive. It’s a new, high-energy revenue moment built around original art, not another ask on the same donors. It gives sponsors and ticket buyers something they’ve never seen and creates bidding excitement that lifts the entire evening.

How long is the performance, and what do we provide?

Flexible — as short as 7 minutes and up to 40 minutes, or longer if you need. The sweet spot is three paintings in about 20 minutes. You provide the same things you’re already providing for your event: a stage area and standard event A/V. Every technical detail is coordinated in advance with our production team.

What happens to the paintings?

We handle the artwork, so winning bidders don’t have to take a six-foot wet canvas home in their car, and your committee doesn’t have to store, insure, or deliver anything after the event.
