
At a temperature of 20 degrees, awaiting his cue to join Brooks and Dunn, Michael stood shivering and wondering what would freeze first, his fingers or his paint. It was an explosive combination as Kix and Ronnie fired up the crowd with “Only in America,” and Michael brought their music to life on the 6 ft canvas. The high energy and the roar of the crowds intensified at the climactic end when the painting was turned over, and the image of the Olympic Crystal and Rings materialized – to everyone’s astonishment. NBC’s television audience was also treated to this amazing combination of live music and art when the segment was broadcast, shortly after the Championship Hockey game.
