Evergreen 1st Annual Gala

Evergreen 1st Annual Gala

Dallas, Texas – Evergreen Presbyterian Ministries of North Central Texas, a local non-‐profit in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area whose mission is to help people with disabilities build better lives, hosted their first annual Forever GREEN Gala featuring world-‐renowned artist Michael Israel. This electrifying artistic event, presented by Allen & Willene Boger, took place on Saturday June 2, 2012 at the Hall of State located at 3939 Grand Avenue, Dallas, TX.

Michael Israel can be best described as Cirque du Soleil meets Picasso-‐-‐an artist, entertainer, and humanitarian whose expression is part David Copperfield, part Jackson Pollack, part Jackie Chan, but all Michael Israel. A leader of the newest art renaissance, flamboyant, and rock-‐star charismatic, Michael electrified over 225 attendees in a performance theatre set to capture the true essence of art with little more than paint and passion.

The phenomenal event began with a special VIP and Sponsor Party, where over 40 attendees were given the opportunity to meet and greet Michael Israel and partake in the event’s wonderful silent auction items. As the evening’s commencement grew closer and additional guests began to arrive, the Hall of Heroes within the Hall of State filled with an overwhelming sensation of excitement and passion for Evergreen’s mission. This exhilarating atmosphere only enhanced the anticipation that Evergreen’s 1st Annual Gala would greatly impact the individuals with disabilities to build better lives within the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex.

After cocktails and a lot of bidding, guests entered the Great Hall, which was transformed into an elegant dining environment with special production supplied by Tri-‐Hawk Media of Arlington, Texas. The event’s host, Alicia Johnson, Executive Director of North Central Texas Community Services, and Zack Riggs, Event Volunteer Committee Chairperson, graciously welcomed all in attendance and recognized the presenting sponsors, Allen & Willene Boger, who, were unfortunately unable to attend. Evergreen’s national and local Board Members, Foundation Board of Trustees, Event Sponsors, Influential Community Leaders and Event Committee Members were also formally recognized along with Evergreen’s Featured Artist of the evening. The dinner continued as the Great Hall was filled with infectious smiles, energy and enthusiastic applause.
